We do not know when Clarksburg Ice & Storage Co. Brewery started producing, but we know it was before 1933 when the brewery shut down. This listing was active during Prohibition which makes it an oddity. Some breweries were able to stay in business by producing "near-beer" which was very low alcohol, some switched over to bottling sodas or other beverages, some became Ice-houses or other related businesses. Our information indicates that Clarksburg Ice & Storage Co. Brewery was the only brewery that was located in Clarksburg, WV sometimes this means that items from a brewery will have extra value in the area it comes from because there are not other sources for local breweriana.
